Terms of Service

Last updated: May 8, 2026

These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of RigPlane websites, downloads, and software products, including RigPlane Core and RigPlane Pro. "RigPlane", "we", "us", and "our" refer to MSMSoft Technologies Consulting Inc. and the RigPlane product team.

1. Products

RigPlane Core is open-core ham radio control software distributed under the MIT license from the public repository. RigPlane Pro is proprietary commercial software sold as a digital download and license for compatible desktop environments.

RigPlane software is intended for licensed amateur radio operators and other lawful radio users. You are responsible for operating radio equipment lawfully, including frequency privileges, station identification, RF exposure, power limits, and local regulations.

2. Purchases and Merchant of Record

Paid RigPlane Pro purchases are processed by Paddle as merchant of record when checkout is available. Paddle may collect payment details, calculate and remit applicable taxes, issue receipts, and handle payment-related customer support under Paddle's buyer terms.

Our online reseller Paddle.com conducts the order process. Paddle.com is the merchant of record for paid RigPlane Pro orders and helps handle payment-related customer service and returns.

Prices are shown before checkout. Unless stated otherwise, RigPlane Pro is sold as a digital software license, not as a physical product.

3. License and Access

Subject to payment and compliance with these terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use RigPlane Pro for your own radio operation and station workflow. You may not resell, sublicense, publish, or redistribute proprietary RigPlane Pro files or license credentials.

Beta builds may change, expire, require updates, or contain incomplete functionality. We may add, remove, or modify beta features as the product moves toward general availability.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use RigPlane to violate law, interfere with networks or radio services, transmit without authorization, bypass license activation, reverse engineer proprietary components except where law expressly permits it, or abuse support and download infrastructure.

5. Support

Buyer support is available by email at [email protected]. Support may require your product version, operating system, radio model, and diagnostic information that you choose to provide.

6. Refunds

Refunds are handled under the Refund Policy, which follows Paddle's official Refund Policy for purchases processed by Paddle.

7. Third-Party Services and Software

RigPlane may link to or interoperate with third-party projects and services such as GitHub, Buttondown, Cloudflare, Paddle, operating system keychains, virtual audio devices, and radio or digital-mode applications. Those services are governed by their own terms and policies.

8. Disclaimers

RigPlane is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, compatibility with every radio, suitability for emergency communications, or error-free radio control.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, loss of station availability, radio misconfiguration, or loss of profits. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot be limited under applicable law.

10. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
